Who develops them?

Standards and standardization documents are developed by experts, participating in the work of BDS Technical Committees

In case of a proposal for a new work item, the Technical Committees developing the draft standard shall be convinced that:

• there is a necessity for the existence of such a standard
• the standard consistency can be achieved within a reasonable period of time
• there is an opportunity for continual improvement of the standard after its publication
  there is a market of the standard (the restricted sales opportunities of a standard shall not be the only reason for postponement or rejection of the draft).
