9. Revision, confirmation or withdrawal of the standard
The responsible technical committee considers the positions received/votes cast at Systematic review stage for national standards and decides on future steps:
- for revision/amendment of the standard when it is necessary;
- for confirmation of the standard for the next 5 years;
- for withdrawal of the standard.
If the respective technical committee has made a decision for withdrawal of a standard, it is announced for “Voting for withdrawal”. At this stage, anyone interested can provide a position via his/her account on BDS website.
The respective Technical Board examines the opinions received/voting results on the withdrawal and makes a decision:
- for confirmation of the standard for the next 5 years;
- for withdrawal of the standard.
